Congratulations to the whole Alpha Mu chapter for achieving academic excellence for the fall 2011 semester!

Welcome to the Alpha Mu Chapter of Tri Delta at the College of William and Mary! We are a diverse group of women who participate in numerous activities, find joy in serving others, take pride in our academics, and make lasting memories with friends. We are fun-loving, outgoing women who are a vibrant part of the W&M and surrounding Williamsburg community. You can find us engaged in a wide range of activities from varsity sports and a capella groups, to programs like Every Two Minutes and FACE AIDS. The Alpha Mu girls serve the Williamsburg community by leading Girl Scout troops, volunteering at hospitals, coaching elementary school soccer, and tutoring children. We also have sisters leading community service trips to places like Costa Rica and El Salvador. And that is just the beginning! Our interests may be different, but we all take advantage of the many opportunities William and Mary presents us with.
One thing we can all agree on is our passion for our philanthropy, St. Jude Children Research Hospital, the premier treatment facility for children with cancer and other life threatening diseases. We hold events for St. Jude throughout the year, which have been highly successful in raising both money and awareness for our cause. Each year we send a sister to Memphis, TN to visit St. Jude where she has the opportunity to meet patients and see firsthand the impact Tri Delta has had on these children.
While we are outwardly involved in both the campus and the community, we also share a close internal bond, which can only adequately be described as a true sisterhood. Tri Delta’s purpose is to establish a perpetual bond of friendship and I can honestly say our chapter has done just that. Sisters will tell you, one of the greatest things about every event, whether it is a social event or philanthropy, is simply getting to hang out with each other. Personally, I believe that this bond runs deeper than simply providing a social outlet. The bonds we have found in Tri Delta enrich our experience as collegiate women and serve as a solid foundation to support our dreams. Being a part of Tri Delta since the fall of my freshmen year shaped my college experience in ways I never could have imagined. I have learned so much from these women as well as shared in many memories that I will cherish forever. These women have supported and encouraged me throughout my three years in college. I am proud to call them my sisters and my friends.
I invite you to look around our website and get to know the Alpha Mu chapter of Tri Delta a little better. Feel free to contact me at nelauer@email.wm.edu if you have any questions.
